sometimes the first time you meet a place, just feels right. it all comes together. the first time i came to the plain, it was a blustery day, with the rain pelting down and the tree in front of the glass-fronted cafe looking like it would be blown away any minute.

i had a salad of perfectly ripe fruit, served with a side of tart natural yoghurt. a latte with just the right head, and a delicious ciabatta sandwich with layered grilled vegetables in between, just moist enough.
